The story
Lovers Paradise started in July 2022 as a party for people who love music, and it became a monthly ritual for two years. On Second Thursdays the Sand Bar in Oakland turned into a small island: tropical decor, strong drinks, free bites and live DJs playing reggae, R&B and Afrobeats.
The room stayed warm, close and social, and the series marked its first anniversary with a celebration of the people who kept showing up.
